Our client, one of the most diversified indigenous groups of companies in Zambia, involved in lubricants, fuels, engineering and agricultural equipment, requires versatile, dynamic, self-motivated, highly credible and suitably qualified individuals to fill the two vacant positions of;
1. AREA SALES MANAGER (LUSAKA)
2. AREA SALES MANAGER (COPPERBELT)

The successful candidate will be responsible for business growth, brand improvement, superior customer experience and increasing market share through effective planning and management of sales and marketing operations across the province in which the incumbent will be located. He/she will offer technical support to customers in form of training and guidance for correct product application, sales promotion and administration of all sales activities to customers in line with the strategic aims of the business.
Applicants for position 1 will have experience in the Agricultural Mechanization Sector, as critical experience while applicants for position 2 are expected to have knowledge and experience of dealing with the Mining Sector. Candidates with knowledge of lubricants will have added advantage.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES FOR BOTH POSITIONS
STRATEGIC SALES & MARKETING MANAGEMENT
MANAGE NEW BUSINESS PROSPECTING/BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants for position 1 will have experience in the Agricultural Mechanization Sector, as critical experience while applicants for position 2 are expected to have knowledge and experience of dealing with the Mining Sector. Candidates with knowledge of lubricants will have added advantage.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES FOR BOTH POSITIONS
STRATEGIC SALES & MARKETING MANAGEMENT
- Develop Sales and Marketing goals/objectives for the company in the short, medium and long term based on the Vision/Mission and strategic objectives of the company.
- Develop, manage and execute the Sales and Marketing Strategic Plan.
- Conduct Marketing Campaigns, presentations and demonstrations for existing and prospective customers.
- Ensure excellent service delivery and keep in close touch with key customers
- Monitor orders received, invoices issued and goods supplied for each day.
- Promote and maintain superior customer experience with a focus on Total Quality Management.
MANAGE NEW BUSINESS PROSPECTING/BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- Set new business prospecting targets and ensure business expansion as well as a growing market share.
- Manage the sales pipeline and report on new business coming into the company
- Conduct training for Dealers and forecourt staff in product knowledge.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Sales & Marketing Management or equivalent
- Membership to Chartered Institute of Marketing and/or the Zambia Institute of Marketing (ZIM).
